Programme 2011

A taste of the programme...

We have had a huge response to our call for proposals and the programme includes many different activities (talks, workshops, music, performance, film screenings) in very different spaces, many of them running simultaneously. To get an idea of the full programme as it develops please explore this website – here is just a taste of what will be on offer...

The Carpa Gaia Spirit is home to the main stage, and will feature artists and performers such as singer songwriter Hervé Cappoen, rock fusion group la Makinita, La Reina Gitana and others; during the day the outdoor stage in the Chillout Zone will feature live music from pianist Ralph Zurmühleand performances from groups like the trio Suena Alegría, as well as workshops giving a taste of disciplines such as Chi Kung, Tai Chi and Tensegrity.

The Sala Anayansi and the Tipi play host to varied workshops including African Dance and Percussion, Belly Dancing, Shamanic Healing, and Ayurvedic Massage, as well as workshops on Fair Trade from Intermón Oxfam and on Permaculture, Resilience and Transition from the team behind Ecoherencia. In the Albergue and the Dome you will find talks covering topics from ‘The Art of Tantra’ and ‘Natural Childbirth’ to ‘Conscious Creation and the New Earth,’ and featuring speakers such as the illustrator Maite Serrano (Cuentos Uan) and Francisco Palomo Aragón of the Cadiz branch of the organization ‘World without Wars and without Violence’.

Children of all ages (including adults with a young spirit) can visit the Biblioteca and Infantilandia, enjoying workshops such as ‘Land Art: Making a Vegetable Mandala’, ‘Clowning for Children’ and ‘Make your own Magic Wand’ or yoga and reiki for children....

... and don’t forget to visit the Mercadillo to see what local artisans have to offer; the holistic health area where therapists from over 20 disciplines will be offering their therapies, many of them in exchange for donations; the permaculture/ transition area featuring renewable energy; the food stalls and our bar restaurant... In short, we are bringing together a complete community for this one weekend in September.
